While NYFW happened to be freezing cold and laden with snow this year, we did see some trends that once you ditch the parka will be perfect for spring and summer. Below are a few of my favorite trends that are perfect for spring and summer!
Feminine Details
It is no surprise that the bell sleeve is dominating the trend scene already but now we know it is here to stay. Look for sleeves that are tight around the shoulder and elbow and then flare out for a more dramatic effect. The ruffle is not going anywhere soon and the bow is stepping up its game as a subtle accessory. Several designers had their models walk down the runway with bows in their hair. Look for ruffles and anything pink to add a little lit of feminine to any look this spring and summer.

Personal Accessories
There is no better way to show off your personality than with a fun accessory. This spring and summer I am turning to fun jewelry, statement bags, and funky sunglasses to add a little bit of flare to my looks. If you are slightly more shy about diving head first into a trend, accessories are the perfect way to go. You can opt for a cheaper style and if you find yourself loving it splurge for something a bit more pricey that you know you’ll have forever.

Tailoring
The trouser is breaking out of the office and hitting the streets in a much more laidback kind of way. For NYFW I planned to wear a pair of metallic silk wide leg dusty rose trousers with a tight long sleeve black body suit to give me shape. I LOVED the outfit and I was so bummed when it was too cold to wear it! Mixing in elements of office wear into your everyday wardrobe can make any look seem polished and also makes your closet a lot more versatile.
