The most drying part of your skin care routine is cleansing, so it is crucial that you use a face wash that gets rid of makeup and impurities without drying out your skin. For this, I love the Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser. I use this every morning after I wake up and it leaves my skin feeling both clean and conditioned. I love the subtle rose scent and it is so gentle on my acne prone skin! Zero breakouts here! I also love the OSEA Cleansing Milk for a super gentle cleanser. I love this one because it diminishes the appearance of inflammation and redness which is great for me since I have some red coloring to my skin. I have the travel size which is perfect when I want to wash my face before or after and long flight. I also love OSEA product because they are non-toxic, cruelty-free, and free of GMO’s and parabens.
I just started using oils and serums this year and I have not looked back. Even for me, with my combination skin, I have found that oils lock in the important moisture my skin needs to fight wrinkles and dry spots. For this, my new obsession is the OSEA Undaria Argan Oil Rollerball I love that I apply it using the roller ball, meaning my hand’s don’t soak up any of the product. I use it under my eyes and around my nose and chin as well as on my forehead before moisturizing. I also cannot wait to try the OSEA Essential Hydrating Oil Rollerball as well! I also love using the Glossier Super Bounce before I apply my makeup. I love the way my skin absorbs it and feels really plump afterward.
Growing up I used to have super oily skin so I avoided moisturizers like the plague. I always thought they would make my skin even more greasy. As I get older I am realizing I have more combination skin and those dry spots on my face are in major need of some TLC. I even found that moisturizer helps control my oily spots ensuring that oil does not build up on the surface of my skin. For my everyday hydration, I love the Mario Badescu Hydro Moisturizer with Vitamin C. It is super lightweight and makes my makeup go on flawlessly. I also love that it is super gentle for my sensitive skin.
In the super dry winter months before bed, I love the OSEA Advanced Protection Cream. It goes on super thick so I wouldn’t recommend it before makeup application, but it is just what my skin craves to stay moisturized all night long.
Confession, I bought the Glossier Priming Rich Moisturizer the day it came out thinking it would be my lifesaver (this is before I started using the OSEA moisturizer I just mentioned). Unfortunately, I have extremely sensitive skin, and my face didn’t react well to the fragrance in the lotion? I stopped using it on my face but I still LOVED the way it made my skin feel so now I’ve been using it on my hands, elbows, and knees. I know it’s a little extreme to use a face creme on my body but when Glossier heard about the breakout it gave my face they totally reimbursed me and let me keep the moisturizer so I figured why not…haha
Need an extra boost? I love applying Glossier Balm Dotcom all over my lips at night before bed. It is so gentle that I can even put some on my extra dry spots to make sure I wake up plump and glowing. When I have some extra time on my hands, I love to pamper myself with the Glossier Moisturizing Moon Mask. It tingles when I put it on proving to me that it’s working, and then I wash it off and am left with such bouncy hydrated skin.
